Visit Sequoia National Park - California's first national park and America's second oldest park. Visit the General Sherman Tree, the earth's largest living tree. Take a walk through Giant Forest and hike up Moro Rock. Take a tour of Crystal Cave (open May-September) and see almost 250 caves formed of limestone. Drive up our lighted driveway that encircles the house. Here there is adequate parking for three vehicles. Kaweah Lake House offers four well crafted bedrooms with one master suite and master bathroom encompassing the second story; three additional bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms down stairs. Property sleeps twelve people comfortably. *Upstairs master suite (bedroom #1)- one king bed, bathroom with walk in shower, dual sinks, and walk in closet. Also has outdoor terrace with two chairs and table which overlooks Lake Kaweah. *Downstairs master suite (bedroom #2) - one king bed, full closet, bathroom with tub/shower combination, single sink bathroom. *Downstairs bedroom (bedroom #3) - one queen bed, views of the lake. *Downstairs bedroom (bedroom #4) - two bunk bed's with twin/full combination, full closet. *There is an additional half bathroom with sink and toilet down the hallway. Living room is an open floor plan with numerous windows to look out at the lake. Sectional couch and additional chairs provide this room with plenty of room to gather as family and friends. Washer and dryer available for guest use. Step outside onto the deck that is almost 2000 square feet. There are two patio tables that seat twelve people. Relax in the seven person Jacuzzi on the deck and watch the gorgeous sunset over the lake. *We have recently converted our garage and equipped it with a fuseball table, arcade game and air hockey table. On the northeast side of the property step off the deck and onto our terrace with additional seating and a fire ring. Make your memories here roasting Smore's and retelling all those campfire stories! From August through rain season, Lake Kaweah has minimum water pool. Lake levels rise when the rain and run off from snow pack comes (typically from April through July the lake is full.....dependent on rain amounts). This means there is still water in the lake for boaters and swimmers, however not as much as a normal season provides (water is much lower than pictured). Unless otherwise agreed upon with owner, normal check in time is 3:30pm on your arrival date, and check out time is 10:30am on the day of your departure. **Please note: ABSOLUTELY no pets or smoking! Please be respectful of this for the health of our guests.** *Holiday weekends require a three night minimum stay.* During Covid we will be following our regular cancellation policy as this has been going on for some time. The third bedroom offers 3 beds for all of the children, and the 4th bedroom gives grandma and grandpa their own privacy also! Both Master bedrooms have a private bathroom, king size bed, additional seating areas, and great view from either location. One master bedroom is located downstairs and the other master bedroom is located upstairs. The 3rd bedroom has two twin beds and a queen bed with closet space for suitcases. The 4th bedroom has a full size bed with a large closet. Both of these bedrooms are located upstairs. Living room, kitchen, laundry room, master bedroom, and 2 bathrooms are all located on lower level. Upper level offers 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. REDTAIL COTTAGE is our guest house. It is a 780 sf one bedroom, one bath complete modern home that is perfect for a couple seeking ultimate comfort, cozy style with very good high tech access. As a result it is very possibly the most comfortable vacation rental in Three Rivers. I have outfitted it to my taste so it has details that I look for when we travel. The cottage sits about 100 feet from our main home in a private and quiet location. We are now retired after four decades of successful designing and building of homes in California. In 2009 we built the guest house on our 6 acre property for our parents who lived there until 2017. After a transformation in 2019 we can now offer it for vacation seekers. It is very possibly one of the most comfortable accommodations in the Three Rivers/Sequoia area. As it is just a few minutes to all shopping in the village, yet it is very handy to Lake Kaweah, restaurants, groceries, pharmacy, our local brewery, night life, museum, post office, gasoline stations and candy/ice cream store. Sequoia National Park is just up the road. It isn't on the river and there is no beach but it's quiet and private. Although you are traveling to Three Rivers to "get away" and commune with nature, you will benefit by access to the cottage's exceptionally good private Wi-Fi so you can download your pictures, check your accounts securely and browse the internet from your phone or laptop/tablets. There is, additionally, strong cell service for AT&T and Verizon (which are the only two services we have tried). There are two station Directv receivers for connecting to the outside world. These connectivity and communications features are rarely found in Three Rivers vacation rentals.

Drive 15 minutes up the highway to the park entrance to hike, enjoy the views, or cross country ski in Sequoia or Kings Canyon National Parks, knowing at the end of the day, you have a hot shower and peaceful retreat waiting for you. HD satellite Direct TV is available for your entertainment, as well as a Denon whole-house sound system. The home is located in a small subdivision so there are neighbors on both sides of the house. We Disinfect, Sanitize And Spray for bed bugs after every guest. This is a very nice home with THE SOUTH FORK OF KAWEAH RIVER FLOWING THROUGH THE BACK YARD, AND AMAZING MOUNTAIN VIEWS. It is furnished for comfort. 2500 square feet of living area. All the rooms are nice sized with spacious bathrooms. Large great room for family gatherings, with a large brick, corner, wood burning fireplace (Seasonal restrictions apply and We supply some wood from Nov. thru March 1st ) It has a nice large front yard, large stamped concrete drive, lots of parking, and beautiful brick work. There is a nice rear yard with THE RIVER flowing through it, and beautiful trees. The great room has a comfy sofa, chaise lounge, 2 recliners, 65 inch 4G Smart TV with DirectTV, DVD/VHS player, a small selection of movies, large windows with VIEWS OF THE RIVER THAT FLOWS THROUGH THE BACK YARD AND BEAUTIFUL MOUNTAIN VIEWS. There is a sliding glass door leading out to the large deck. The dining area seats 8, with more seating at the counter. There are 3 beautiful tall windows that provide a VIEW OF THE RIVER and MOUNTAINS. A well equipped kitchen opened to the living and dining areas WITH A RIVER VIEW, island cook top, built in oven, French door refrigerator with ice maker, dish washer, microwave, toaster oven, blender, mixer, dishes, pots & pans, crock pot, wine & martini/margarita glasses, spices, toaster, eating & cooking utensils, knives, and then some. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer, laundry soap, and softener sheets just off the kitchen. We do spend quite a bit of time there, so the house may be better equipped than investor properties. The large master bedroom has a sliding glass door, with VIEWS OF THE RIVER AND MOUNTAINS, which also leads to the deck. There is a Cal King canopy bed, a 55 inch 4G TV with satellite, and furniture that provides plenty of room to unpack. The large master bath features a cedar lined walk in closet, double vanities, and MY FAVORITE is the LARGE JETTED TUB with two large windows with VIEWS OF THE RIVER/MOUNTAINS (Pour a glass of wine, and it doesn’t get any better than that). Bedroom #1 has a twin daybed with trundle, a desk, some books, and an armoire for your clothes. It also has an old style TV with front jacks for the kid's video games. Bedroom #2 "The Blue Room",. is very nice, with lots of natural light from the 3 large windows over looking the large front yard, and the large sycamore and oak trees. It has a queen bed with a very comfortable mattress topper (can be removed if you require a firmer mattress), large dresser, 32” flat screen with DirecTV, and a nicely sized closet. We also have a roll away bed, and two sleeping pads. There’s a large rear deck with, Gazebo to shade from the sun or rain, tables and chairs, seating for 11, an umbrella, and a propane BBQ grill. You can enjoy watching the family play on the lawn while soaking up THE SOUND OF THE RIVER FLOWING AND THE AMAZING VIEW OF THE FLOWING RIVER AND MOUNTAINS. Or, enjoy your morning coffee while watching the squirrels, or the many different beautiful birds, turkeys and quail among them, as well as the occasional ducks in the river. The family can have fun with board games, cards, croquet, volley ball, and bean bag toss. This is a "No Host" rental, but we do have someone local in case of an emergency. Please keep in mind that the amount of water in all rivers in Three Rivers will vary depending on the time of year, how much rain and mountain snow melt and how hot the summer is. Three Rivers has many festivals and events. It offers an abundance of riding/hiking trails. The Sequoia National Forest is world renowned for it’s beauty, Giant Sequoia Trees, and the famous General Sherman's Tree. There are plenty of places to eat, a grocery store, mini-markets with gas, medical facilities, fire station, library, post office, thrift store, gift shops, museum, gallery, antiques, and even a new brewery. This home is located in the beautiful “Cherokee Oaks Community”, which has beautiful oak and sycamore trees, maintained roads without the city traffic, lights, or noise. The area is perfect for family walks, and riding your bikes. My grandchildren love to ride their bikes while we are there, and I am comfortable they’re safe. Lake Kaweah is only 1.5 miles when it’s full, otherwise it’s about a 10 minute drive. Great for fishing, boating, jet skiing, and swimming. They offer fishing and patio boat rentals at the marina There’s a 3 day minimum requirement for holiday weekends. Small events may be considered. Welcome to our Home! We are located in a serene and beautiful area of the quaint and exclusive Three Rivers, CA and which offers all the conveniences for a relaxed home away from home. It’s located in a very quiet neighborhood and the brilliance of the stars light up the night sky. This sanctuary is only 8 miles to the Entrance of the Sequoia National Park and an hours drive or less within the park, to the world famous 275-foot-tall “General Sherman” giant Sequoia Tree, which at 2,200 years old is deemed the largest living tree by volume of total wood in the Giant Forest of the Park and perhaps the world. Guest access Most of the house is available for use including the main floor which houses the kitchen, bedrooms. Occasionally and dependent on the number of guests we may also make the basement available. The basement houses the laundry facilities, and TV/VHS entertainment center. There is also a large deck and outdoor furnitures which you may use. Interaction with guests For the most part of the year, guests will have the house to themselves, occasionally however when I am in town I may be in the basement and may share the kitchen and will be glad to interact as much as guests prefer. The neighborhood The Sequoia region boasts numerous choices for hiking, fishing, horseback riding, climbing, boating, cave tours and many other outdoor activities. Winter activities include cross-country skiing, snowboarding and sledding. Three Rivers is a quaint and artistic relaxed town. You would find wonderful places to dine and to purchase groceries within a few miles of the home. The town is also nominated in the top 20 as the “coolest” small towns in America. Getting around No public transit in Three Rivers, so best to rent a car for travel to Three Rivers. The park does offer shuttle services from certain points within the park. Shuttles services may be available from central locations in Three Rivers to the Sequoia National Park if you prefer not to drive. This home is located in the friendly Cherokee Oaks Drive on the South Fork of the Kaweah River that runs through back yard. This two story home has 1,900 square feet of space inside and a great lawn in the front yard, plus a patio and yard in the rear of the house overlooking the river. The back yard is surrounded by vegetation, the river, and an abundance of Sycamore trees. The neighborhood roads are wide and great for riding a bike or taking a stroll after dinner. This vacation rental offers all the conveniences of your own home and maybe a few extras including river access, a ping pong table, lawn games, Propane BBQ grill, outdoor patio, satellite television with Netflix, DVD player, free WI FI internet, and a landline phone for incoming and outgoing local calls. There are three bedrooms (all upstairs) with two king size beds and a queen bed. We also have a pull out couch, and two roll away beds. Kitchen is fully equipped with just about everything you might need to make a romantic dinner or a family picnic or BBQ get together. The local community offers multiple indoor and outdoor restaurants, a full service grocery store, coffee shop, pharmacy, medical facilities, library, and a couple of gas stations. The Three Rivers community hosts multiple festivals and large events throughout the year and easy access to Sequoia National Park-Land of the Giant Sequoia Trees and home to the General Sherman Tree. Over 850 miles of hiking trails guarantees that your desire to experience nature can be achieved! Local lands such as the Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management offer mountain bike or hiking trails just minutes from the house. Lake Kaweah is minutes from the house which offers patio boat rentals! You can also go fishing, jet skiing, kayaking, or just simply swimming or sunbathing at the beach! Summer will be here soon and it’s a great time of year for visiting Sequoia National Park. An awesome time to take a swim in the river. We offer a quaint but modern two bedroom one bathroom cottage in the perfect location. Only two minutes from the main center of town. Great getaway! This cottage sits in a quiet park like setting. Sequoia National Park entrance is about a 12 minute drive up the highway. Comfortable queen beds in each bedroom. Kitchen fully stocked. Outside seating to enjoy coffee in the mornings and wine in the evenings. Maybe even see a turkey or two!

Welcome to Sequoia River Cottage! Perfectly located on the South Fork in Three Rivers, this home features gorgeous grounds right on the river, and room to spare with tons of living space, four real beds, three full baths, a laundry room and even a second kitchen! Plenty of conveniences like true high-speed wifi, central A/C, and a 220v electric car charger. Sequoia National Park is just 10 minutes away, but with these surroundings, you may never want to leave. This home is unique: a main house with two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a sleeping loft, and an attached studio apartment that can be accessed through the house, or by a separate entrance if part of your group wants a little more privacy. There's a half-acre of shaded land with the river just outside, and a wide variety of fruit trees (please help yourself!). The backyard features a covered deck with lots of seating and a charcoal grill (BYO charcoal), while in front there's covered parking, a pagoda, and orange, lemon, lime, apple, plum, and pomegranate trees! Inside, you'll find a spacious living and dining area with a fully equipped kitchen. A huge comfy couch around the gas fireplace is perfect for gathering, and there's no shortage of entertainment: a Smart TV with cable, Netflix, and Amazon Prime, as well as a DVD library, and some board games and puzzles for analog fun. Above the living area is a sleeping loft with a full bed, and just down the hall you'll find two bedrooms with queen beds and two full bathrooms. Keep going to find the laundry room, third full bath, and the studio apartment, a wide open space with a queen bed, kitchenette, and living space of its own. Paved and level roads provide easy access to the house, and there are two covered parking spaces in a carport down a level gravel driveway. Things to note: - The loft is accessed via ladder, and has a low vaulted ceiling, so please use care! Take a look at the photos to make sure you're comfortable accessing and using it. - By renting this property, you are releasing the owner from all liability, particularly concerning the river and the loft. Small children should be watched at all times. SEASONS AND THE RIVER IN THREE RIVERS: Three Rivers is in the foothills below Sequoia National Park, and while you feel like you’re already in the mountains, the elevation is actually quite low. Snow is rare and never sticks; summers can get very hot! But if you venture into Sequoia, the elevation changes rapidly and weather conditions can be drastically different - bring layers! Here’s a brief overview of the seasons: SPRING: The river is rising and hits its highest point in the spring, as the snow pack in the Sierras begins to melt. The river is swift and roaring during this season. Temperatures in Three Rivers are mild and pleasant, plants are blooming and it’s absolutely beautiful. But it’s still cold in Sequoia National Park! Be prepared for snow and seasonal closures in the park, chains may be required, and don’t forget your jacket! SUMMER: As the snow pack melts away, the river peaks and then begins to lower as there’s less to feed it. The raging waters of spring calm, and more rocks are exposed in the riverbed (there’s a big boulder that’s lovely to lay on). It’s typically safe to dip in for some relief from the hot summer temperatures. In Sequoia National Park it may be a bit cooler, but protect yourself from the sun and take advantage of the lesser-traveled roads being open - you’ll see spectacular things! Remember: the river is fed by the snow pack, and its level is very dependent on it - if there was a wet winter, it will flow year-round. During a drought year, it may get very low in the late summer or even dry up until the rains begin again. AUTUMN: Temperatures start to mellow, and fall begins with the river at its lowest point before the rains begin again. It’s a fantastic time to be in Three Rivers, with the summer crowds dispersing and the heat beginning to break. Rain and snow begin to occur, slowly growing the river and beginning the snow pack for a new year. Remember: the river is fed by the snow pack, and its level is very dependent on it - if there was a wet winter, it will flow year-round. During a drought year, it may get very low in the early fall or even dry up until the rains begin again. WINTER: Rainy (or snowy!) season in California, the river begins to rise as precipitation occurs. Temperatures in Three Rivers stay mild and it rarely freezes or snows beyond the occasional flurry. Temperatures in the Park can be extreme, and the inter-park road between Sequoia and Kings Canyon is frequently closed. (don’t worry, we provide directions for a gorgeous route outside park boundaries!) Tire chains are usually required to be carried in the Park in the winter - they can be rented in town, but you may just want to purchase them before you arrive.

The house is designed for a escape from the city and a peaceful oasis for the entire family. Our home is your home! When you come to visit we hope this feels like your home away from home. All Bedrooms have Casper mattresses, including the bunk beds, to accommodate a good nights rest. The couch can sleep 2 comfortably and there is a queen air mattress available as well. The living room is equipped with a record player that is also bluetooth compatible and attaches to an included portable Bose speaker, as well as a 65" smart TV. We have a pool in the backyard for those hot days! It's a deep pool and the shallow end drops off quickly so bring floaties for the kids. Please be careful with children, the pool has a cover that can be retracted prior to hopping in. The deck gets hot in the summer so sandals are recommended. We have a couple adult floats for the pool, please bring safety floats if you have children. Central Heating, A/C, free washer and dryer, pool and hot tub are private for your families use. The space Three Bedrooms, two bathrooms over 1600 square feet of house space plus a large backyard patio for family to gather. This home is located in a subdivision, which means that you will not be secluded from other people. The benefit to being in the neighborhood is that it is one of the few areas in Three Rivers where it is safer to take an evening stroll or bike ride. Guest access You are allowed to access the river directly behind the house but you are not allowed to walk up and down the river bank. Everything is private property, please do not trespass! The River is seasonal and not guaranteed to have water year round. Interaction with guests This is a not a hosted location. I will be happy to assist with any problems that may arise during your visit. I am available by phone or text up until 9:00 PM on most nights. We give our guests privacy during their visit. Other things to note: There is no smoking on the property, inside or outside due to complaints from the neighbors. Any signs of smoking, vaping, etc will result in a $250 fine/cleaning fee. We do not host events, weddings or gatherings at this location. Unregistered guests are not allowed on the property at any time. Quiet hours are very strict! This is a quiet family friendly neighborhood. We do not allow parties or late night social gatherings. Quiet hours are 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM. You will be removed immediately without a refund from this location if we receive any complaints from the neighbors. Take a walk through Giant Forest and hike up Moro Rock. Take a tour of Crystal Cave (open May-September) and see almost 250 caves formed of limestone. Blossom Rock House consists of two bedrooms each with a California King size bed as well as a pull out ottoman in the living room that has a twin mattress. Bathroom has an oversize walk in shower. In the living room there is a propane fireplace insert and above it sits an oversize television with plenty of room to gather as family and friends. Outdoors the private patio has a patio table and chairs that seat six people under the lighted gazebo, propane BBQ (no need to bring propane), and again, the gorgeous jacuzzi! Unless otherwise agreed upon with owner, normal check in time is 3:30pm on your arrival date, and check out time is 10:30am on the day of your departure. From August through rain season, Lake Kaweah has minimum water pool. Lake levels rise when the rain and run off from snow pack comes. This means there is still water in the lake for boaters and swimmers, however not as much as a normal season provides. **Please note: ABSOLUTELY no pets or smoking! Please be respectful of this for the health of our guests.** *Holiday weekends require a three night minimum stay.* During Covid we will be following our regular cancellation policy as this has been going on for some time. Year Round Rental - Main Home (2 Bedroom and 1 Full Bath) The main house is an all glass structure that gives the visitors a fantastic view of the great outdoors. The bathroom gives full privacy when the curtains are pulled. The bedrooms do have a solid wall between them which offers privacy from family and friends while inside of the house. The floors are radiant heat for the winter months and a wood burning stove is also available for those relaxing evenings. The summer months offer a wonderful air conditioning system to keep you cool during those hot summer days! We do not have cable television in the home but we have a large projection screen and surround sound that can be hooked up to your laptop. The only cellular provider is AT&T and reception is very weak at the home but it works great when you turn on "WiFi Calling". Two Tent Cabins - The small cabin sleeps two people in a queen bed. Large Cabin sleeps up to five people on a queen bed and a bunk bed with a full size bed on bottom and a twin on top. This cabin also has a composting toilet. Outdoor hot shower and composting toilet outside! These cabins are available year round but may not be suitable for the winter months of December to February due to low temperatures outside The tent cabins offer extra sleeping arrangements for groups larger than four people.. There is an additional fee for each cabin and an increase in cleaning fees for groups wishing to reserve them. We do not rent out the tent cabins individually, they are only to add additional guests to your group. You must rent the main house before you can rent the cabins.
